Lewes, Delaware

"The First Town in the First State"

Lewes was the first town founded in Delaware. It is about four miles in size and is situated close to the mouth of the Delaware Bay.  Lewes is the home of the southern terminal of the "Cape May ? Lewes Ferry" and adjacent to the "Cape Henlopen State Park".

With the ocean and bay at hand Lewes provides many areas for swimming, boating, fishing and other water sports. It is not uncommon to see a wedding on the beach. The state park is known for its surf fishing areas, hiking and biking paths and the Biden Nature Center.

With Ney Jersey only a 50 minute ferry ride away, many bargain hunters come to our tax free outlet malls.
